Contract and Project Monitoring |
The storage of project and contract related information in a single database facilitates the integrated approach to project and contract monitoring. If required multiple contracts can be allocated to each project. Data on projects and contracts can be recorded as soon as the work is envisaged (for example at the initial budget allocation stage) allowing the pre-contract process to be easily monitored. The integration with the supplier management facilities allows a reasoned approach to contractor selection and the tender process. Projects can be related to one another by a variety of user definable parameters that facilitate the process of programme monitoring. The expected start and completion of projects together with any slippage in these events can have a significant effect on cash flow and budgets. The overall project can be monitored more effectively by breaking down the life of the project into a series of interim events. In PROMAN events can be monitored by the use of a series of dates, implemented as Original, Forecast and Actual events. Entering event data on a project allows pre-planning to take place and analysis of the actual dates achieved allows achievements and performance to be measured. Thus monitoring can take place in a variety of scenarios. Additionally, costs, fees and personnel (recorded as a project team by role) can be evaluated for each Project. When using the time sheet module the contribution of staff to the project can be assessed (both in terms of time and cost) via reports. |
Comprehensive User FacilitiesEase of use is a key feature of the PROMAN system. As far as is possible data that is referenced in multiple parts of the system are defined in just one data table and is then referenced elsewhere by use of it’s uniqueness. This minimises the possibility of user entry error, promotes consistency, assists validation and enhances the integrity of the system. Web pages allow for information display and input in a secure way. The ease of data entry into PROMAN is complemented by the easy dissemination of information. A variety of supplied reports, a report generator and a letter generator feature allow the user of PROMAN to export data, run reports over the network or web. Reports can be sent to the screen or printer as required. Ad-hoc reports can be generated, the formats stored and recalled for later use, either for the purpose of repeating output or as a model for further formats. PROMAN has been developed specifically to work in a multi-user environment and is therefore scaleable from a stand-alone system to a network or web solution. The security features in PROMAN are extensive and flexible. PROMAN is available for use with Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase SQL Studio |
