Supplier/Contractor Performance |

|
Feedback on the suppliers/contractor’s performance once the contract is let is vital both to project monitoring and to the allocation of future contracts. To be meaningful this process needs to be consistent so that similar contracts and similar contractors can be evaluated in a useful way. Over a period of time the results of the contractors’ performance can be reviewed as a trend. This may be on a single contract basis (multiple assessments can be made on a contract) or on a variety of contracts. A list of user definable performance categories can be entered into PROMAN. These are related to one another by entering them into a series of user definable performance ‘groups’ (e.g. Technical, Financial, administrative, etc.). If required each of the performance categories can carry a weighting, so that the importance of each to the scoring mechanism within the overall assessment can be determined. At periodic intervals the contractor’s achievements on a specified contract relative to the performance categories established can be assessed and entered into the system. This enables targeted performance assessment and provides the means to gauge the suitability of a particular contractor’s for future contracts. This data can also be used for the provision of a reference. In the case of under performing suppliers/contractors consideration can then be given to ‘rest’ such contractors thus removing them from consideration either permanently or temporarily. A performance template system within PROMAN enables the user organisation to tailor the performance criteria to its chosen work types, thus enabling differing sets of criteria to be applied to building contractors, maintenance contractors, professional consultants or suppliers as required. |
